I am not too good at keeping this blog updated. Meh. Anyhow, new things
I managed to get a sparkfun order off and now have some nice new toys to talk about; as part of my 4th year project I need an intertial measurement unit, so I am building one! Nothing too fancy as I just need it to be accurate for 2 or 3 seconds duing a turn of a mircomouse, but is a nice way to get back into micorcontroller programming after many months of looking at lines of c#.
Other new things include a new hard drive, after having 8gig left I invested in a 750gig HD from ebuyer, problem solved. Also have an Eee PC now, hopefully it will help with taking / organizing notes in lectures. And finally I snapped up a cheap server off ebay, £40 for a 1.2Ghz, 1Gig RAM, 80Gig HD in a 1u case, inc. delivery. It now has ubuntu server on it, and my plan is to install a subversion server to allow me to syncronise notes etc. between computers.
Also on a simliarish subject I am looking for a way to synchronise Outlook / Evolution calendars through an online service (preferably one I can run myself). Anyone have any ideas?
